1. What is a forest park?

A forest park is a specially protected natural area with significant landscape value, designated for rest and recreation. Only interventions and activities aimed at its maintenance or enhancement are permitted.

2. Is a forest park a more protected category than a national park or a nature park?

There is no hierarchy of protected areas, each of the categories is equally important.

3. Are motor vehicles allowed in the forest park?

Only vehicles with a special permit are allowed to enter the forest park.

4. Where can I get a permit to enter the Forest Park by a motor vehicle?

Permits can be obtained from the Public Institution for Marjan Forest Park Management.

5. Are weddings and wedding ceremonies allowed in the Forest Park area?

Wedding ceremonies are allowed with permission from the Public Institution for Marjan Forest Park Management and from the parishes managing the specific churches if the wedding is held at their location.

6. Is there a parking area near the entrance to the park-forest?

Parking spaces are available near the entrance to Sustipan and Zvončac, and near the entrance to Spinutska vrata. The is also a limited number of parking spaces at the entrance to the ramps.

7. Is there an entrance fee to the forest park?

No, the entrance to the forest park is free.

8. Is there a bus to the forest park?

Bus number 12 JGP Promet Split operates to the Bay of Bene.

9. Are there pet beaches in the forest park?

There is a dog beach in Kašjuni.

10. Is it allowed to pick fruits or plants in the forest park?

No, it is not allowed to take anything out of the forest park.

11. Is it allowed to plant anything in the forest park?

No, only the staff is allowed to plant.

12. Who manages the forest park?

Public Institution for Marjan Forest Park Management.
