Marjan also offers picnic zones, at Bene and the First Peak. There are picnic tables and benches, as well as different trails, plateaus, children's playgrounds, and benches for rest.
The revitalization of visitor facilities in the Marjan Forest Park is a key activity of the entire project as it fundamentally contributes to the attractiveness of natural heritage, directly increasing the number of visitors. This process involves revitalizing, adapting, and refurbishing the existing visitor facilities that, for various reasons, are not currently reaching their full potential.
These two picnic zones are connected with the ‘School in Nature’ project (Bene) and the ‘Children's City,’ offering the possibility of a creating detailed educational and entertaining programs for all ages, for extended periods. This is an excellent opportunity even for visitors (students) who do not live in Split.
